sandbox shenanigans

or, "hold on to your hats folks, it's gonna be a crazy ride!"

Natasha spent hours and hours this weekend in the sandbox. We were worried about whether she was old enough for it, and whether she'd put fistfulls of it in her mouth, but she did great!

Her time was split between not being interested in doing anything but watching the other kids - which is how she spends a large part of her time at the park - and ignoring everyone to focus on the thing she's doing. She's a very intent little girl..

..and, as usual, very advanced. On day 2 in the sandbox a little boy who was 3 months older got in the sandbox for the first time. She paid plenty of attention to him, but didn't exactly show him the ropes..

This video says it all. At first we thought we were reading too much into her play, but there's really no denying it. She was messing with him!
