getting closer..

Grandma and Grandpa flew up to visit for the big Halloween weekend. Let's just say Halloween is not a relaxing time to visit, though it certainly is not boring.

Natasha has been waking up VERY early again - around 5:30.. which does not bode well for next weekend when 5:30 becomes 4:30. But, at least for this weekend, mommy and daddy had a chance to go back to sleep for awhile while Natasha entertained the grandfolk.

Here is Natasha explaining to Grandma why Dr. Seuss is incorrect.. those are not doughnuts, they're cheerios!

Since Halloween was on a Sunday, we had a little party on Saturday night so friends and family could enjoy all the scares and fun. I had been glad to have a warm fleece costume a size too big for Natasha, so we could bundle her up underneath, but wouldn't you know after a freezing week of rain and wind (which wreaks havoc on setting up for Halloween!) it was a balmy eve of hallows eve!

I still don't know why Natasha has ANY idea who Elmo is, since she's never once seen Sesame Street, but she loves him. (On a similar note, she's never had a bite of candy but keeps running toward the candy bowl yelling CANDY and grabbing handfuls! How does she know this stuff?!)

Dan had more to do than the wizard of Oz, but managed to grab a calm moment and a NatashElmo for the camera.

This was the warm up.. stay tuned for the big night!

  1. And although it was tiring, we DEFINITELY enjoyed our stay in Alameda.
